Cornerstone Health Care Services, Inc. today announced
the latest licensees of the Excluded Party Search System (EPSS)
products. The list includes:
- Golden Ventures
- Providence Health System
- Leesburg Regional Medical Center
- Parrish Medical
- Edward Health Services
- DeSoto Memorial Hospital
The
Excluded Party Search System (EPSS) is designed to assist
hospitals and other health care providers in determining
whether any of their employees, physicians (or medical
staff), or vendors have been excluded from participating in
federal health care programs. First released as a
client/server version, EPSS is now available in both a
client/server version and a world's first thin-client,
web-based version. Utlizing an intelligent search mechanism,
EPSS phonetically looks for all records with similar names
in the combined database from the Office of Inspector
General (OIG) and the U.S. General Services Administration
(GSA) and presents users with results that are summarized
and prepared for final review by provider personnel.
